1. No affiliation with government or utilities
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario, Natural Resources Canada, the Ontario Energy Board, the Independent Electricity System Operator, Save on Energy, the Electrical Safety Authority, or any licensed electricity distributor.
Where those names appear on this site, they are used only to describe programs and processes administered by those organisations, so that you can identify them and check them yourself. We prepare and submit applications on behalf of customers who ask us to; that is the whole of the relationship.
2. This website is advertising
This site is commercial in nature and is intended to generate enquiries for our installation business. The assessment is genuinely free to the homeowner; we are paid when a homeowner decides to proceed with an installation.
3. Estimates are not guarantees
Figures shown on this site and in any assessment — system size, annual generation in kWh, bill reduction, payback period, rebate amounts and financing costs — are projections. They depend on:
- the accuracy of the consumption and property information you give us;
- weather, shading and seasonal variation in sunlight;
- the condition, pitch and orientation of your roof;
- the equipment finally installed and its real-world performance;
- program rules and funding in force at the time of application;
- future electricity prices, which are set by others and which we cannot predict.
Actual results will differ. Rooftop solar does not remove your connection to the grid: delivery charges, regulatory charges and HST continue to appear on your bill.
4. Program eligibility
We cannot promise that you will qualify for any rebate, grant or loan. Eligibility is decided solely by the program administrator against its own published criteria. Programs may change, run out of funding or close without notice, including after you have applied.
5. Financing
Where financing is discussed, it is provided by third-party lenders or by federal loan programs, not by us. Approval, interest rate, term and total cost of borrowing are set by the lender and depend on a credit assessment. References on this site to arrangements with no money down describe financing, not a gift, and are always subject to approval.
6. Not professional advice
Content on this site is general information. It is not engineering, structural, electrical, financial, tax or legal advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances. Obtain independent professional advice before making a decision that depends on it.
