Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the Estates Guides Energy website and of the free solar assessment offered through it. By using the site or submitting the form, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

The site is operated by Estates Guides Energy Inc., a company incorporated in Canada with its office at 2409 Drew Road, Mississauga, Ontario L5S 1A1. You can reach us on +1 866-541-9894 or at [email protected].

2. What we offer through this site

Through this website we offer a free, no-obligation assessment of whether rooftop solar suits your property. Submitting the form is a request for that assessment. It is not an order, and it does not create a contract for installation.

An installation contract comes into existence only when you and Estates Guides Energy sign a written installation agreement setting out scope, price, schedule and warranty. Nothing on this website forms part of that agreement unless it is repeated in it.

3. What the assessment is — and is not

The assessment sets out a recommended system size, an estimate of annual generation, the rebate and financing options that appear to be available to you, and an indicative payback period. Every figure in it is an estimate produced from the information you supply and the program rules in force on the day it is written.

It is not a guarantee of generation, of savings, of eligibility for any program, or of the price at which work can later be carried out. It is not engineering advice, financial advice, tax advice or legal advice. You should take independent advice where the decision warrants it.

4. Your responsibilities

5. Rebates, loans and third parties

Rebate and loan programs referred to on this site are administered by government bodies, utilities and lenders. We are not one of them and we do not control their rules, their budgets or their decisions. Eligibility, amounts and availability are determined by the administrator, and programs may be varied or closed at any time. Financing offered by third-party lenders is subject to their credit assessment and their terms.

6. Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical faults or matters outside our control may make it unavailable temporarily. We may change or withdraw content at any time.

7. Intellectual property

The text, layout, photographs and code on this site belong to Estates Guides Energy Inc. or are used under licence. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy them onto another site or use them commercially without our written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your rights under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 and equivalent legislation in other provinces.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or savings, or for decisions you take on the basis of estimates in an assessment. Our total liability arising from your use of this website is limited to CAD 100. Liability arising from work we actually carry out is governed by the installation agreement, not by these terms.

9. Links to other sites

Where we link to a government, utility or lender website, we do so for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

10. Privacy

Personal information you send us is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here when you use the site is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applying in it. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ontario. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the province in which you live.
